How much can you possibly cram into one day? Well, depends on how you play. It looked to be a rainy day, but we decided to load up on activities. First up? The Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. I am trying to figure out if there is anything uglier than alligators!
Seriously, this thing was so disgusting! We were feeding it.
And they just have a zillion of these gross things at the Alligator Farm. Seriously, who would want so many pets?
Mmmmmm…… I like rats for lunch, too!
Once the alligators stopped entertaining us, we started entertaining ourselves. We are very entertaining! Surprisingly, the monkey bars did not break!
When we started getting on top of the turtles, they kicked us out. (Just kidding, for those who don’t know me so well). So we went to Tibet.
We said goodbye to the nasty critters and headed over to Fort Matanzas for a picnic on Bonos BBQ. Mmmmm
And since no one had broken neck or limb in the playground, we thought we would try our luck climbing ginormous live oak trees. For some of you, we decided to try our “cause and effect”.
Fort Matanzas was pretty cool! First of all, it’s free. And you even get a boat ride to it!
So then we did a little nature hike, Beishline style…..handrails are meant for hiking on, aren’t they?
To end the day we went to the beach on Anastasia Island near Fort Matanzas. First up the kids found this big tortoise.
There was a cute couple there.
The kids liked this beach. Nice soft white sand and shallow water.
Didn’t know this, but you can drive your car on the beach here. Need a 4×4, to be sure!
Top off the day with a beautiful full moon on the ocean!
Top that! Busy, busy, busy….beautiful! All in a day’s play!
